Field Traumatology Course Goals: This course is for therapists, chaplains, nurses, social workers, school counselors, teachers, ministers, first responders, EAP staff and other professional care-givers who work with those dealing with the impact of traumatic events. Along with three free online FEMA courses (IS-7, A Citizen's Guide to Disaster, IS-700, National Incident Management System, and IS-100, Introduction to Incident Command), it also fulfills requirements for certification as Field Traumatologist with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
Date: Thursday and Friday, March 11-12, 2010 Schedule: Thursday: Registration and coffee: 7:45 a.m. Seminar: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Lunch on your own) Cost: The course fee is $250. Course fee is discounted to $199 ($175 for students) if registration is received on or before February 26th. Pre-registration is required and completed with payment via credit card or check. Registration fee includes a printed manual. Refund and Cancellation Policy: A minimum number of participants must be registered before February 26th or the workshop will be cancelled on that date. There will be no refund unless the workshop is cancelled and only those registered by that date will be exempt from this policy.
